PEACHTREE CITY, GA – FEBRUARY 5, 2024 – The Printed Circuit Engineering Association (PCEA) today announced the first UHDI & Substrates: Design to Package Forum will be held on June 5, 2024, in conjunction with PCB East in Boxborough, MA.

UHDI, or ultra high-density interconnect, describes lines and spaces of less than 25 microns on a printed circuit board. Among the presentations are talks on standards, electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing, direct imaging, a new mSAP process, a new replacement for ABF (Anjinomoto Build-Up Film), planning a new UHDI facility, and new materials for UHDI.

Each presentation will be 30 minutes. The program will close with a panel discussion.

The forum is chaired by Gene Weiner of Weiner International Associates. Peter Bigelow, president of FTG East, and Alun Morgan, technology ambassador of Ventec and president of the European Institute for the PCB Community (EIPC) are vice chairmen.

“Rapid technical progress and major dollar commitments are being made in the US and Europe to establish sustainable, secure sources of organic substrates and UHDI circuitry for advanced electronics packaging,” said Weiner. “This forum is designed to present new design, process, material, and equipment capability information that delegates can immediately put to use.”

PEACHTREE CITY, GA – JANUARY 10, 2024 – The PCEA Conferences Task Group today announced the technical program for PCB East 2024, featuring more than 75 hours of in-depth electronics engineering training.

ATLANTA, GA APRIL 1, 2021 – A pair of industry experts will offer their popular and informative advice on how to avoid the most common design errors caught by fabrication when PCB East returns to the Boston area in June.

In a free two-hour session for all attendees registered for the one-day exhibition on June 16, Ray Fugitt of DownStream Technologies and Dave Hoover of TTM Technologies, will cover the 20 (or so) mistakes seen most often by printed circuit board manufacturers, and discuss ways to prevent them.

“This two-hour session is one of our most popular at our annual PCB West event, and we are delighted to bring it to PCB East in 2021,” said Mike Buetow, editor in chief, PCD&F/CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY and conference director, PCB East. “Our presenters interview many of the largest PCB manufacturers in the US and abroad and have compiled an ever-growing list of the most common errors found on incoming designs. ATLANTA, GA – JANUARY 25, 2021 – PCB East 2021 will feature nearly 20 presentations on printed circuit board design and engineering when it returns to Boston this June. The technical conference will include two talks from noted signal integrity expert Lee Ritchey and four from Rick Hartley, on topics ranging from RF and mixed signal design to power delivery system design and PCB stackup.

The three-day technical conference takes place June 15-17, 2021, in Marlborough, MA. The event includes a one-day exhibition on June 16.

Other featured speakers include Susy Webb, who debuts a two-day tutorial on the fundamentals of PCB design engineering, and Dan Beeker, who will explain electromagnetic fields and offer techniques to improve ESD robustness.
